Challenge for Sept 28 - Oct 4th, 2007

Thanks to Chel for continuing on with our weekly challenges!

This first photo shows a focused photo that tells a story - this is my dear gf Rhonda and her youngest grandbaby, Hannah. There is so much love between these two and I believe this photo captures that. I zeroed in on their faces to capture the closeness and joy these girls have for one another.


This second photo was taken in Rhonda's front yard and shows the detailed evidence of the chilly freshness of an autumn rain. Again, focused in tightly, this time on the leaf and raindrops. I included a little of the background to show the contrast between the colorful fall leaves and the remaining greenery of the surrounding trees and bushes.

The next 11 photos were taken at Beach Lake in Chugiak, which is about a 15 minute drive from our house.

These next five pics were taken at Fire Lake in Eagle River - about a 5 minute drive from home

This last photo was taken on W. Frontage Road in Eagle River -- just up the street from our place.

Autumn Action Pics

I took these photos on Monday, while I was out for a fall photo-shoot. I stopped at a nearby lake and this woman came by with her dog. I didn't pay attention to them at first, but when she began throwing a tennis ball in the water, I snapped off a couple of pics... I couldn't see the movement of the water while taking the pic, but was pleasantly surprised by how this first image came out once I got home and saw it on the screen :)!

This Photo Tells a Story...

...Of my Dad. I didn't take this photo, obviously, but it's one of my favorites because of how happy Dad is. This was taken in October 2005, when we were flying to Las Vegas for one of Dad's many slot machine tournaments that he participated in. This particular trip was our third and we were able to go one more time - in December 2006.

As his health deteriorated, Dad was more comfortable remaining in his home, rather than going out to socialize -- but he greatly enjoyed playing those slots and it was my joy to go along and take care of him. TFL --

More Baby Pics ~ CC Encouraged!

This is Jacey (Jay-see) - the little 14 month old boy my daughter Jen cares for. He's such a cutie and makes me laugh every time we're together! I took these shots yesterday while at Jen's - converted some of them to B&W and am interested in your input. I don't use B&W very often, but I kind of like the way these turned out (converted in Roxio 5.0).

These photos are of little Robert Jr - grandson of Mel, our booth-mate during the fair. He's about 7 or 8 months old, I think... and such a sweetie!
